Introducing new access control partnerships

by d line

Accessibility is literally the key to the new collaboration with leading door access control experts, Salto and SimonsVoss. A carefully curated selection of levers from the Arne Jacobsen and Knud Holscher collections from d line can now be integrated with smart access solutions, to offer architects a stronger and more varied choice.

Mixing heritage with future facing technology

Architects have long been requesting access control to spec into their builds that complement our enduring, timeless designs. So, we embarked on an exploration into creating the finest selection possible. Now specifiers can integrate designs by Knud Holscher and Arne Jacobsen with either Salto or SimonsVoss systems, whilst ensuring that warranties and certifications are kept in place.

We’re working with these two experts because of their reputation for consistency, convenience, functionality and excellent quality, since we believe every one of a building’s practical details should be a perfectly performing whole, so their details – even those that are unseen – should be of the very best quality and design.

d line x Salto: XS4 Original and Mini in new dressing

To complement the enduring aesthetics and quality of our architectural hardware, we’ve joined forces with the Spanish revolutionizer, Salto, who’s technology and innovation we have unfaltering confidence in. With over 40,000,000 daily users from all over the world, Salto offers customers new standards within security, manageability and flexibility when accessing their place of work, building, school or home.

The XS4 Original and Mini solution from Salto can fulfill virtually any technical and functional requirement of an access point, and can encompass almost every access in any building and its perimeter. Available for both DIN and SKA, the curated collection from d line blends seamlessly with the design and quality of Salto. The result is advanced, perfectly functioning internal components with advanced, perfectly finished materials and design.

d line x SimonsVoss: SmartHandle AX to be turned, again and again

Since 1995, SimonsVoss has been applying world-renowned German engineering to keyless entry systems. Their intelligent, flexible solutions offer support to those tasked with the responsibility of keeping buildings, facilities, and assets secure.

In d line’s creation of design that endures, we always look for solutions that are designed for constant use. To be pushed, turned and bumped over and over again every day – whether in private homes or commercial buildings, government offices and cultural centres. The SmartHandle AX has proven durability capacity for 1 million cycles (EN 1906), and by specifying this product with the enduring lever handles from d line, you are guaranteed an EN1906 class 4 approval for the entire solution. Smart, don’t you think?

Combining heritage and innovation

Since 1971, d line has created enduring timeless designs. But even classics need a revamp from time to time. Because we never want to stand still, we listen – to the architects who specify our products into their spaces and to the people who use them. This is so we can best understand how to push those products further, evolving them to better meet needs. And so, the AJ Lever – a classic in every way, now comes with a new expression, by integrating heritage with future facing technology. We think Arne Jacobsen, who designed this handle for the SAS Royal Hotel in 1961, would approve of this subtle-yet-impactful update. Do you?
